'My Valentine Wish…!' - Bollywood gets Mushy on Valentine's Day

Preity Zinta: "To be able to balance out my crazy schedule so that I've time for those I love. What more can I want this Valentine's Day?"

Bipasha Basu: "Valentine's Day is special for all the people I love. I'll tell them how much I love them and prove my love for them with simple gestures. The ideal Valentine gift would be hundreds of red carnations. I know John will get them for me."

Kangna Ranaut: "Valentine's Day means pure selfless love from me to everyone I love. My ideal gift would be roses and candles."

Sammir Dattani: "My affair with the camera began on Valentine's Day. My first screen appearance was for a music video called 'Valentine's Day.' Since then I've made sure every Valentine's Day is special for me."

Manisha Koirala: "I'm spending Valentine's Day with family and friends. I would want everyone to experience love in any and every relationship."

Urmila Matondkar: "Valentine's Day is a time to show my friends and family how much they mean to me. The one gift I'm looking for is a gorgeous hunk. But the species seems extinct."

Shilpa Shetty: "I've got my Valentine's Day gift. The IPL and I've got the man who gifted it to me by my side. What more can I want?"

Riya Sen: "I want to spend quantity time with my loved ones. No matter where I am I want to be back in time for Valentine's Day to be with my loved ones. That's the greatest gift I can get. Other gifts are fun. But spending time with your loved one is the best gift. For Valentine's I'll be performing at a college festival in Ahmedabad before rushing home."

Neil Nitin Mukesh: "For me Valentine's is a day of love and friendship and a day of mending bridges. My ideal gift would be a collective hug from all those friends and family whom I love. And a million kisses from that someone special."

Dino Morea: "I want to spend Valentine's Day showing love to everyone who deserves it. We all are so caught up in our routine, this is the one day when we can devote to love."

Raima Sen: "I'm single, so the only Valentine gift I can give myself is time with the family."

Neetu Chandra: "This Valentine's Day means a lot to me as I'm partying with my school friends and meeting with my first ever crush, my schoolteacher. And I hope I find my permanent Valentine this year."

Mugdha Godse: "Valentine's Day is just another day for me. I'll be attending a beachside Catholic wedding of a very close friend on Goa's Morjim beach. Chalo apni Valentine nahin kisi aur ki sahi."

Minissha Lamba: "When you're in love it's Valentine's Day all year round. Am I in love? Who knows a woman's heart? Not even the woman herself."

Malaika Arora: "For me Valentine's Day means the freedom for people to express their love without worrying about self-appointed custodians of our precious moral values. The best gift I can think of is the right for us women to live our lives how we want without intolerant groups stopping us."

Celina Jaitly: "Valentine's Day is 'emotional atyachaar' for those who aren't in love. It will remind me that I've been unhappily single for the last three years. At the risk of sounding pompous I want a society rid of all intolerance and prejudice."

Tusshar Kapoor: "The day would again remind me I'm single. How about a love life for me this Valentine's Day?"

Amrita Arora: "Valentine's Day means nothing to me. Love should be celebrated everyday. Bring on the love!"

Chitrangda: "Sorry I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't like the idea of being told when to celebrate love."

Ruslaan Mumtaz: "I just broke up with my girlfriend. So my ideal gift would be the sad songs of Himesh Reshammiya."

Koena Mitra: "Everyone loves to be loved. But being single gives me more room to love myself without sharing that space for love with someone else. All the eligible men have been taken away. The rest are not worth considering. I'm enjoying my single status and making the most of it."

Pooja Bedi: "It's horrible to be single on such a romantic day. But my brother Adam is getting married on Valentine's Day. So I'll be happy watching two people in love being united. Dreams do come true on this day. As for myself I'm a hopeless and a hopeful romantic. I'm even in love with the idea of love. The real thing may be around the corner."

Esha Deol: "I'm not answering this one."

Dia Mirza: "Being single on Valentine's Day is the same as any other day. Love is a feeling that you can't miss. It's omnipresent."

Divya Dutta: "Do I miss love? Not really. Work is great healer of the heart. And I get lots of love and male attention. So what if I don't have a guy this Valentine's Day. I know he'll come."

Jiah Khan: "There's too much work. No time to think about love. I miss having my family with me on Valentine's. They're my only true love."

Tanushree Dutta: "It's fantastic being single on Valentine's Day. You can choose whom to love for that day."

Arjan Bajwa: "Being single is not a big deal. I'm shooting in Hyderabad so I've no time to miss love. Moreover, Valentine's Day is no reason to miss love. To be loved by family and friends all through the year is a blessing. And I've that blessing"

Vatsal Seth: "Who is one kidding by saying it's great to be single? Valentine's Day and single....man, it sucks! It's like no one being there to wish you on your birthday. Being in love is the most amazing feeling and I definitely miss it."

Adnan Sami: "What a Valentine's Day gift my wife has given me."

Mugdha Godse shines with Stuff

She is someone who just cannot be mistaken to be a human being, for she is an angel in disguise...call it as God's gift to good guys! She is Mugdha Godse, who is on her way to become the Goddess of not just small things but also big, bigger, biggest things!

And one such big thing to have happened to the mankind is the current issue (which is ironically quite 'electrifying') of the super cool tech and gizmo mag 'Stuff'. We will be doing rank injustice if we started telling (read 'praising') about Mugdha's gizmo-ic looks that really acts as an eye-candy for everyone alike. For once, we are damn sure that, you will regret that why weren't you born as a laptop or any other gizmo, for the only reason, that after having a look at the gizmo's proximity to Mugdha...you know the rest!

Anyways, keeping the best for the last, all that we would say is that do not let your life be incomplete without the current issue of Stuff! It's not everyday that you have a living Goddess like Mugdha God-se posing as human being!

Mugdha Godse looks forward to 'naach-gaana' in Jail

Model-turned-actress Mugdha Godse (pictured left), who scorched the screen in Madhur Bhandarkar's offbeat film "Fashion", now hopes to do a typical song and dance role in "Jail".

"I'm looking forward to doing naach-gaana (singing-dancing) after playing an unconventional role in 'Fashion'. Surprisingly, all the offers coming to me now are of that variety," said Mugdha.

"Jail", also being directed by Bhandarkar, will be a two-hour thriller about a jail escape. In the film, Mugdha is paired opposite actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and the director feels they make a "great pair".

There’s more to Mughda than just good looks

After taking the modelling industry by storm and winning some prestigious titles, Mugdha Godse took to films like a duck takes to water and won over critics as well as masses with a superb debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion.

And the accolades haven’t stopped pouring in ever since. Recently, she won the prestigious Lions Gold Award for the best debutante actress. Besides, she also topped an online poll for the most popular actress in Bollywood, leaving other established heroines far behind. A delighted Mugdha tells us, “What makes such awards special is the fact that they come from the people. After all, it’s the audience that sits through our films and decides how good you are. There are no lobbies, no campaigning; it’s something that comes straight from their hearts. I feel so honoured to have been accepted like this after my very first film. Fate has been really kind to me. However, I realise that this recognition also puts extra responsibilities on my shoulders and every performance of mine will be thoroughly scrutinised from now on. But I am well prepared.”

Talking of future moves, the industry is abuzz with reports that she has been signed for Madhur’s next film Jail, while Chitrangada Singh has replaced her in the Rajeev Khandelwal starrer Peter Gaya Kaam Se. She remains non-commital and says, “The announcements will be made in due time. Things are looking good professionally and I have signed a three-film deal with a leading production house.” She truly considers her film-innings as a new beginning in life and shares, “You know, I decided to redo my house after my first film; by having it painted, getting carpentry and stuff. It’s a new beginning for me and I wanted to have new vibes and new colours in everything.”

While Mugdha keeps getting compliments on her great looks, she finds Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit to be “two of the most beautiful Indian women.” She is also a complete mama’s girl. “You know, she wanted me to become a singer when I was a child and I even used to go to music classes for the same. But I am a terrible singer and that didn’t work out. So, I have been learning Kathak for the past two years and she appreciates that,” she says.

Do her parents like her on-screen image? “My mother is not very comfortable with me wearing short dresses. But at the same time, she understands the demands of my profession. But she keeps reminding me that I look the prettiest in traditional Indian attire,” she smiles. Given that fortunes swing every Friday in B-town, how confident is she about sustaining the good run? “See, I always knew about my figure, looks and confidence being my strong points. However, I am also talented and will prove that in the long run,” she declares. On how people perceive her to be, she says, “While many feel that I must be snobbish as I was a supermodel, the truth is that I am very modest and a bit reserved.” Anything interesting on the personal front? “As of now, I want to immerse myself in work. Love can wait,” she signs off.

Mughda Godse in 'Jail'

After successfully debuting in his “Fashion”, Mugdha Godse is likely to be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's next film, “Jail”.

The filmmaker reportedly wants to cast her in the film, which is a male-centric movie about under-trial inmates. Neil Nitin Mukesh will be playing the lead in the film.

Mughda has refused to comment on her being a part of “Jail” but said she would be very happy to work with Bhandarkar again.
Praised for her work in “Fashion”, Mugdha has already secured a three-film deal with Percept Picture Company.

Mughda Godse refuses to be in Roommates

Mughda Godse has refused Jag Mundra's suspense thriller “Roommates” as she was not being paid the price she wants.

The model-turned-actress was approached to play one of the two protagonists in the film but she refused, as price was an issue with her.

After being widely praised for her acting in he debut film, “Fashion”, Mughda feels she is asking for a price she deserves and Jag Mundra is not willing to pay that kind of price for the film.

Mundra has other options. He has short -listed four ladies - Neha Dhupia, Raima Sen, Neetu Chandra and Sonal Chauhan - out of which he will select the two leads.

Also post the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfikar, has been thrown out of “Roommates”. It seems no Pakistani actors will be allowed in Bollywood anymore.

With his cast undecided, Mundra is definitely stuck just a month prior to “Roommates” going on the floors.

No particular resolution. Just a list of things that I want to keep doing. As for gifts, unexpected gifts are the sweetest.

Mugdha Godse living with friends

Model-turned-actress Mugdha Godse is homeless. The Fashion star is in the midst of entirely redoing her Seven Bungalows house. As she has given up her premises to the team of carpenters, painters and an interior designer, Mugdha has been forced to move out till the work is done.

The ramp model had initially decided to stay in a hotel but her bunch of best friends persuaded her to live with them. They told her that as her family was in Pune, she had to treat them as her kin and treat their home as her home.

As a result, the actress has been staying at each of her friends' houses till the work is completed by the month-end . Her daily stuff and other personal belongings have been packed in bags and kept in her car which are constantly on the move with her.

Says Mugdha, "It has been over three years that I bought this place at Seven Bungalows. I had wanted to make several changes in the house for long. But due to my work and constant travelling I did not have time. Now that I was free for a while, I decide to go for it. My interior designer friend Alok Sehgal is doing up the place. I am making a huge walk-in wardrobe as well as several other changes all over the house."

She does not find it a pain to live out of suitcases. "I have been travelling for ramp shows all over and am used to it. In fact, I find myself now leading a true bohemian life. At the moment, I am with my bunch of friends who are not from the modelling world. Later I will be staying with my ramp pals like Aanchal Kumar."

As she has been shunted out from her home, Mugdha is also planning to visit Goa for Christmas and New Year. "As it is, I can't be home, why not Goa?" asks Mugdha, who is in the process of finalising her next step in B-Town. "There are offers and by January, one of them will roll," she claims.
