Amrita Arora born on January 31st, 1978 in Mumbai is a popular model-turned-Bollywood actress.

Amrita Arora's mother hails from a Malayali family while her father comes from Punjabi background. Amrita Arora has an elder sister Malaika Arora, a Bollywood actress who married actor-director Arbaaz Khan. Her father died of cancer recently. Amrita Arora graduated in Psychology from Sophia College in Mumbai.

Amrita Arora as a model appeared in commercial advertisements such as Elle 18, Ponds, Sunsilk Fruitamins and other ads. She became popular with her as a host of "MTV House Full" and "MTV Chill Out".

Amrita Arora made her Bollywood debut with "Kitne Door... Kitne Paas" in 2002 and has since appeared in several commercially successful movies such as "Awara Paagal Deewana" {2002}, "Girlfriend" {2004} which speaks of lesbian relationships, "Red: The Dark Side" {2007} which is notorious for her 27-minute hot sexy scenes, and "Heyy Babyy" {2007} and on.
